This class will show you how to get the best results from cooking your Christmas Turkey, Ham and some of the trimmings on your Barbecue, leaving your indoor oven free to cook perfect Roast Potatoes and Yorkshire Puds (which we will also make on the day).
We will show the best method for preparing and brining the turkey (we will use a turkey crown) cooking it on your barbecue and how to ensure it is perfectly cooked. We will also show you the best way to slice and serve.
Our menu for the day will include:-
- Mulled Cider, Sausage Rolls & Mince Puffs
- Brined, Smoked Turkey Crown
- Bourbon, Orange & Mustard Glazed Gammon
- Pork, Chestnut & Cranberry Stuffing log encased in a Bacon Lattice
- Devilish Piggies in Blankets
- Duck Fat Roast potatoes
- Sprouts with chestnuts, shallots and bacon
- Maple Smoked Chantenay carrots
- Roast Parsnips
- Yorkshire puddings
- Smoked Chocolate & Orange Panettone Tart
Recipes and cooking notes will be supplied.
No prior barbecue or cooking skills are required. Please note this class will involve some knife work.
We want to make your experience as interactive as possible, so if you have any food allergies or intolerances please notify us before the workshop, we really don’t want to make you ill!
Timings & Price
The Workshop lasts approximately 5-6 hours and costs £140 per person. We start at 9am with a bacon roll and hot drink; seasonal refreshments are provided throughout the day. We all sit down at the end of the class to eat the food cooked during the day. Any leftovers are available to take away, so please bring a selection of food safe containers.
